CODE Signs To TABU RECORDINGS
June 21, 2007British/Norwegian black metal project CODE, featuring new vocalist Simen Hestnaes (a.k.a. ICS Vortex; DIMMU BORGIR, ex-ARCTURUS),has signed to Tabu Recordings. Hestnaes, bassist/backing vocalist Viper (a.k.a. Vicotnik; DHG),guitarist and songwriter Aort, and new drummer Asgeir Mickelson (SPIRAL ARCHITECT, BORKNAGAR) will enter the studio before the end of 2007 to record their second album, tentatively due next spring.
Originally formed in 2002, CODE released an EP, titled "Neurotransmissions – Amplified Thought Chemistry", that same year. They later signed to Spikefarm Records, which released the group's magnificent debut, "Nouveau Gloaming", in June of 2005.
Vocalist Kvohst left code in 2006 to join DHG.
